Just squeezing in to November, our Posting of the Month is from teacher Meg Laing. Meg brings some insights to Jatara Parivartanasanaand her own experience of practising it.

Jatara Parivartanasana - Revolved Abdomen Pose

Jaṭhara Parivartanāsana is not a pose that we can sustain comfortably for a long time. So it is not one that easily Lets us experiment and learn about our body, mind and breath.

But once discovered and understood, this pose can bring new insights and depth into our learning, and become a much-loved favourite quite quickly.

Unfortunately, it can also remain for many a bit of a Cinderella pose, attempted occasionally as a duty rather than as a rich source of discovery. But it is worth persevering since it can bring more understanding of many actions useful for other asanas.
