The situation with Covid-19 virus is changing rapidly, and we know that very soon it is likely that we will have to close the centre.
We hope to keep classes running until the end of this winter term, but we understand if you make a decision now to stop coming to classes.
At this time we have decided not to go forward with booking for the Spring term or the Debbie Bartholomew workshop weekend. Any payments that have already been made will be refunded.
Meanwhile, we want to ensure that we are all practising in as safe an environment as possible.
- We all know that hand washing is the most important precaution we can make to reducing infection risk for ourselves. Our administrator and cleaner are working hard to keep the centre clean and are doing extra cleaning of vulnerable surfaces.
- We ask you to follow the latest advice and to avoid coming to classes if you have travelled from a high risk area, had contact with an affected person or have symptoms such as new cough or fever.
- Teachers are using minimal equipment in the classes and, avoiding hands on adjustments.
We would now ask you to bring your own mat and any equipment you may want to use.
If this is difficult or not possible for you, you can use a centre mat and equipment. We ask you to wipe any equipment before using with the wipes available, and then return the equipment to the cupboard at the end of the class without wiping. This ensures that the equipment is not stored damp.
We are also discussing ways to help support you in maintaining a yoga practice during these challenging times.
In the meantime please see an immunity boosting practice designed by BKS Iyengar during the 1991 Swine Flu pandemic;

We hope you are staying healthy and calm in these turbulent times.
