This class is suitable for everyone who is just starting yoga and also for students who are returning to classes after some time or if you are new to Iyengar yoga.
We will focus on learning the correct and precise action in the poses, (asanas), to help develop a good understanding and foundation for our continuing practice.
Equipment to Start
I first encountered Iyengar Yoga in the early ‘90s but, much as I loved the practice, it was not until I changed my direction in life and became a practitioner in sound, working with therapeutic singing bowls, that I started to appreciate yoga on a whole new level; the two disciplines inform each other so beautifully.
Whilst training, I went to Pune where I had the wonderful experience of being taught by Prashant Iyengar and qualified as an Introductory Teacher in 2020.
I love that Iyengar Yoga places such importance on accessibility through the use of props and delight in teaching students of all ages and body types.
