This is a 'face to face' class at The Edinburgh Iyengar Yoga Centre. You must book your class online. Please do not "Drop In" at the Centre without booking!
All the equipment you need is available at the Centre but you are welcome to bring your own mat/blocks if you prefer.

LEVEL 2 CLASS - GENTLE
The Friday 10.00 - 11.00 Level 2 class is gentler and especially suitable for older people and others who wish to sustain a level of practice using props.
Level 2 classes are for students who have attended beginners’ classes for more than two years, or on the advice of your Level 1 teacher.
A wider range of asanas will be introduced, including headstand, concentrating on working more strongly in the basic asanas to further develop stamina and strength.
You will also be introduced to the breathing techniques of pranayama.
When I first started practising yoga more than 20 years ago, I was young, fit and flexible and the poses came very easily. Things have changed quite a bit with the years but yoga means more to me now than ever. Yoga has helped me make the best of life’s challenges and allowed me to do things I never thought possible, such as studying at the Iyengar institute in India. I love teaching students of all ages, shapes and sizes. That’s one of the joys of Iyengar yoga – it is accessible to all and can benefit everyone
