I first encountered Iyengar Yoga in the early ‘90s but, much as I loved the practice, it was not until I changed my direction in life and became a practitioner in sound, working with therapeutic singing bowls, that I started to appreciate yoga on a whole new level; the two disciplines inform each other so beautifully.
Whilst training, I went to Pune where I had the wonderful experience of being taught by Prashant Iyengar and qualified as a Level 1 teacher in 2020.
I love that Iyengar Yoga places such importance on accessibility through the use of props and delight in teaching students of all ages and body types.
